Speaking to the issues brought forth in Bellarmine’s Book In Common, Just Mercy, Mr. Ernie Lewis will address challenges facing the U.S. criminal justice system in matters of racial inequity and the indigent defense crisis. Mr. Lewis has dedicated his career to legal advocacy on behalf of society’s marginalized. Following Mr. Lewis’s remarks, three local community groups will share their work in criminal justice reform.
