U.S. News & World Report has once again named Bellarmine University one of the south’s best universities.

Their annual “Best Colleges” publication ranks Bellarmine 13th among the top 127 southern regional universities. Bellarmine, the top Kentucky college in its category, appears on the U.S. News list for the 22nd consecutive year.

Among southern regional universities, Bellarmine was also ranked 11th in educational opportunities for military veterans and active-duty service members.

As Bellarmine grows -- last month, it welcomed the largest freshman class in its history -- it continues to add new classrooms and new faculty members to maintain its 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Centro, a major new $25 million, 54,000-square-foot academic building, will open next year.

U.S. News develops their annual rankings based on overall excellence, graduation and retention rates, peer assessment, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

Last month, The Princeton Review called Bellarmine one of the nation’s top 380 colleges.
