  • Strengths in Writing: I really enjoy using writing as a form of reflection. Whether I am contemplating on my own life or observing phenomena in the world, writing, in its many forms, provides me the opportunity to process and make sense of my reality in a life-changing way. Whether I am writing a research paper that synthesizes the ideas of others or composing a free-form poem, writing has given me a power unlike any other to unlock the deepest parts of myself.

  • Majors: English and Secondary Education
  • Favorite Book: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
  • Strengths in Writing:  I love helping with all forms of writing and am a great resource for getting started – figuring out how to write to a prompt, grammar, standard formatting, sentence & paragraph organization, when and how to use different tones (formal/professional, informal, etc.), and more. I particularly specialize in outlining, brainstorming/planning, thesis creation, critical literary and contextual analysis, and developing or understanding arguments. If you need help with any essays, term papers, personal reflections or responses, particularly if analysis or synthesis of ideas is involved – I’ve got you!

Nichole Sheridan

  • Major: Undeclared
  • Favorite Book: Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol
  • Strengths in Writing: While I love getting into the flow of writing, I believe that it is important to also focus on the preliminary stages of writing such as brainstorming, researching, and outlining. Having a plan for any given paper or writing project makes completing it that much easier. I also believe that diction is just as vital as the heart of any work. Besides scholarly essays, I enjoy working on creative writing such as poems and short stories!
