Career Development

A Disney fan's best decision

Student Stories

I chose to attend Bellarmine University because of the small class sizes and the amount of registered student organizations (RSO) offered on campus. I love Bellarmine because you have the opportunity to be a big fish in a small pond. I have grown so much and have been given so many opportunities to be a leader and enhance my resumé. The first RSO I wanted to join on campus was Ambassadors, because I felt so welcomed by them when I was a prospective student. I wanted to do the same for future students beginning the college process.

The people you meet at Bellarmine will truly change your life forever. My Orientation leader, Stasia Schaum, helped me get involved and even inspired me to choose my majors. She is my Bellarmine difference, and you will hear that phrase a lot if you decide to attend this amazing university. Your Bellarmine difference is the moment in your Bellarmine career where you knew you had found a home at the university. People truly care about you here and they want you to succeed.

Bellarmine offers you free access to so many amazing tools on campus such as the Tutoring Center, the Writing Center and the Career Development Center. You have access to the Career Development Center for life even after you graduate. There are so many wonderful advisors willing to help you explore majors and careers, help with resumés and mock interviews and all in all just get to know you as a person, so they can put you on a path you will love.

Faculty and staff really strive to get to know their students here and it makes it easier due to the smaller class sizes. Every professor has office hours when they open their doors up to answer any questions students may have, they are also able to make appointments if their office hours do not work for you.

I am a huge Disney fan and when I began my journey at Bellarmine, I always raved about how I wanted to do the Disney College Program. I got into the Disney College Program in September 2019. It was incredible having professors that I hadn’t had since fall 2018 ask me if I had gotten in yet. They remembered that small detail about me and it felt so good to tell them I had succeeded in my lifelong dream. They want you to pass, they want you to succeed.

Bellarmine is such a unique place, in my college search I felt so lost and scared until I discovered this wonderful campus filled with loving people from so many different places. Bellarmine strives to be diverse and it is awesome seeing how we are constantly growing and changing to accommodate everyone.

Bellarmine accepts and loves everyone. Deciding to tour this university was the best decision I ever made.

They offer very generous scholarships to everyone. They try to give you a scholarship any way they can. In fact, just by filling out FAFSA once a year and visiting the campus you will receive a $1500 scholarship every year.
