Are you the happiest when you’re cozy in bed with a good book or pouring yourself into your hobby? Is your friend group small, tight-knit, and on the shyer side? Do you feel confident and content when you’re not tasked with entertaining and socializing? You might be an introvert if you feel at peace alone or in a small group.
Being an introvert doesn’t mean staying in your room or hiding away in the library, though – at least not at Bellarmine! Many events focus on small groups, creative workshopping, and chill vibes.
Bellarmine Communication major Savannah Gripshover shares some events to consider. To RSVP or learn more, follow the Engage links!
Event: The Joy of Wellness: An Evening with Bob Ross
Date: April 4th at 8:00 p.m.
Vibe: Frazier Hall will be hosting a Bob Ross-themed painting night, complete with provided art supplies, prizes, and yummy snacks. Everyone will work in harmony to follow Bob Ross’ soothing instructions and complete their perfect painting!
Event: APOutside Presents: Mac Beth
Date: April 5th at 7:30 p.m.
Vibe: Do you love to curl up and watch movies or shows? Bring a picnic blanket or comfy chair to the statue of the Exploding Cube in the Quad to watch this contemporary adaptation of Macbeth! This retelling features modern problems, exciting battles, and a twisted ending to spook the crowd. You might find yourself gasping, cheering, or laughing, but otherwise, you’ll be just another quiet member of the adoring audience.
Event: Louisville Connection: Clay Street Pottery
Date: April 11th at 7:00 p.m.
Vibe: “This event is designed for students who want to tap into their creative side, try pottery for the first time, or just enjoy a relaxing social experience.” If that sounds like you, make sure to RSVP to claim one of the 16 available spots! This event provides a chance to de-stress and unlock a brand new side of your creativity. Bonus: you can keep whatever amazing creation you make!
Event: Waterfront Park Clean-up
Date: April 12th at 9:00 a.m.
Vibe: This is the perfect opportunity to pay respects to nature, gain service hours for your Resident Student Organization, and acquaint yourself with the beautiful sights of Louisville. Trash bags and gloves are provided, but you might want to bring your own earbuds to jam out and lock in while you tidy up the scenic shores of Waterfront Park!
Event: Finals are Ruff!
Date: April 25th, 28th, 29th, & 30th at 10 a.m.
Vibe: Finals are challenging, so most students try to relax through fun outings with their closest friends – but for introverts, the pressure to be social is just another thing to worry about! Finals are Ruff provides our introverted students a chance to recharge with a different kind of company: dogs and puppies! Snacks, games, massage chairs, and arts & crafts will also be available for students who attend.
