You're finishing up high school and likely already penciling in big plans for your last big summer before college. You’re ready to relax, excited to get with the crew and ready to forget anything to do with school until August. We get it. It’s been the craziest
year of our lives and it also happened to be your senior year in high school. The last thing you may want to think about is summer classes, but there are actually a lot of reasons why incoming students should consider summer classes before they start college
in the fall.
If you haven’t decided your major or don’t quite know what you want to do after college, consider signing up for BU199: Career Exploration and HLTH110: Introduction to Healthcare Professions.
Save money
Summer courses are offered for a special rate of $625 per credit hour. That means you can not only take classes and earn credit hours for less money, but you can also get ahead in your academic schedule putting you on the path to potentially graduate earlier. Less time earning
your college degree means less money you and your family have to spend.
Get a head start
Taking summer classes are a great way to accelerate your college career at Bellarmine. Start off early by knocking out some of your General Education classes needed to fulfill the degree requirements for your chosen major. Getting a couple of the General
Education classes out of way will leave you more time to purse a second major or minor.
Test the waters
If you haven’t decided your major or don’t quite know what you want to do after college, consider signing up for BU199: Career Exploration and HLTH110: Introduction to Healthcare Professions. Each class is only one credit hour, meaning that
at our special summer rate you are only paying $625. These classes offer students a wealth of knowledge and guidance to get the most out of their Bellarmine experience and beyond. Likewise, test the waters in other areas by taking an introductory
course in fields such as business.
Flexibility
This year, most of Bellarmine’s summer classes will be taught online with instruction by Bellarmine professors. That means that whether this summer finds you in Louisville, or somewhere else, you can take advantage of Bellarmine’s summer
classes. And because the summer sessions are in a seven-week accelerated format, you will still have plenty of time to enjoy the summer with the crew!
Make a good summer great by signing up for a summer class at Bellarmine.
