Tommy WellsTommy Wells, Ed.D. (email) is an Assistant Professor and teaches courses in trauma-informed education and teacher leadership. Before coming to Bellarmine, Dr. Wells served as a school counselor for public schools in the Indianapolis area. During the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years, he served as a Visiting Scholar in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University where he conducted research through research-practice partnerships with collaborating school districts. His scholarship focuses on education policy, educator development, and trauma-informed education. 

Dr. Wells received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy (Vanderbilt University), M.S.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy (Purdue University), Ed.S. in Counseling and Counselor Education (Indiana University), M.Ed. in Educational Psychology (Loyola University Chicago), and B.A. in Psychology and B.Mus. in Contemporary Voice Studies (Northwestern University).
