Tommy Wells, Ed.D. (email) is an Assistant Professor of Education. He received his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University. He earned a Master of Science in Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Education as well as a Specialist in Education degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. Lastly, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Voice Studies from Northwestern University.
Before coming to Bellarmine, Dr. Wells served as a school counselor for public schools in the Indianapolis area as well as an associate faculty member in the School of Education at Indiana University, Indianapolis. His research interests include education policy as related to equity, school leadership, and trauma-informed practices. At Bellarmine, he currently teaches classes in trauma-informed practices and research methodology.
