The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)-Kentucky has presented the Beth K. Fields Award to Tina Miller Kauffmann, associate vice president for development at Bellarmine University. The award was presented at closing ceremonies of the annual CASE-Kentucky Conference held Dec. 7-8 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lexington, Ky.
The Beth K. Fields Award was established by the CASE-Kentucky Board of Directors in 1994 in memory of Fields who served as director of unit associations for the University of Louisville Alumni Association. She also served as director of alumni affairs at Bellarmine. She was an active CASE-Kentucky Board member and admired advancement professional. The award is designed to recognize someone who continually goes over and above the call of duty and epitomizes the advancement profession. Recipients must have served the advancement field for at least 10 years.
Kauffmann, who joined Bellarmine in 1990 as director of annual giving, has been part of the team that has twice been recognized nationally by CASE for excellence in fundraising. She also has been an active volunteer for CASE, serving on the CASE-Kentucky Board of Directors from 1995-96 and on the CASE District III Board since 2002.
A Louisville native, Kauffmann is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and the University of Dayton, where she began her career in educational development. She also served in the development office at the University of Massachusetts before joining Bellarmine.
Kauffmann also is active in community, church and professional organizations. Among her volunteer work includes service to National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky, the Bellarmine Women’s Council, and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She also is a member of the Leadership Louisville class of 2006-2007. In addition, Kauffmann has competed in the U.S. Transplant Games, medaling in both tennis and the 100 meter dash.
