Cahill to lecture at Bellarmine

Bellarmine University’s theology department will host a lecture by Lisa Sowle Cahill, Ph.D., titled “War and Peacebuilding: Global Challenges for Christian Ethics” on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Amy Cralle Theatre in the Wyatt Center for the Arts. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Cahill holds the J. Donald Monan, S.J. Chair in Theology at Boston College, where she has taught since 1976. A past president of the Catholic Theological Society of America and of the Society of Christian Ethics, Cahill is the author or editor of 11 books and of 150 essays in books and journals in the areas of war and peace, the ethics of sex and gender, and bioethics. She is working on a follow-up to her 1994 book titled ‘Love Your Enemies’: Discipleship, Pacifism, and Just War (Fortress Press). She is a Catholic moral theologian who enjoys an international reputation.
