Bellarmine names Ryan as vice president for enrollment management

February 13, 2007

Bellarmine University President Dr. Joseph J. McGowan has announced the appointment of Sean J. Ryan to the position of vice president for enrollment management at Bellarmine University, effective March 1, 2007. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of student recruitment and financial aid.

“We are pleased to welcome Sean into the Bellarmine family,” said President McGowan. “After a thorough national search, I am convinced that Sean is the right person to help us achieve our vision of becoming the premier independent Catholic university in the South.”

Ryan comes to Bellarmine after serving Daniel Webster College for four years as their chief enrollment officer. Under his guidance, the Nashua, N.H., school has experienced a 40 percent increase in new student enrollment.

“The dynamic leadership and enthusiastic campus atmosphere makes Bellarmine an extremely attractive opportunity,” said Ryan. “After such a successful experience at Daniel Webster, it was going to take something very special to make me want to leave, and I’ve found it at Bellarmine,” he said.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Anselm and a master’s degree in professional and organizational communication from Regis College. In addition to his Daniel Webster admission experience, Ryan also served in St. Anselm’s admissions office for four years and worked in the investments industry for three years.
