August 2, 2007

Bellarmine University has appointed Peter Kremer as executive director of the Bellarmine Alumni Association.

Kremer is a 2002 graduate of Bellarmine University, where he garnered a host of honors and awards including the prestigious In Veritatis Amore Award and was the 2002 Homecoming King. Currently, Kremer is pursuing a master of business administration degree, which he expects to complete this December.

In his new role, Kremer will oversee all aspects of alumni programming at Bellarmine University and will be the liaison with the Bellarmine Alumni Board of Directors.

Bellarmine President Dr. Joseph J. McGowan said that he was impressed with Kremer as a student and is equally as impressed with him as an alumnus. “Peter is the perfect person for this position,” McGowan said. “Peter’s love and knowledge of Bellarmine matches his great enthusiasm, and these qualities will serve him well in this important alumni position.”

Kremer is happy to be returning to his alma mater. “The people and culture at Bellarmine University have been very positive influences in my life,” he said. “Bellarmine truly became my home during my undergraduate career, and it is great to once again be a part of an institution that I believe in and want to see grow and succeed. This new position is a great opportunity, and I am looking forward to connecting with my fellow Bellarmine graduates and providing them with a vibrant Alumni Association.”

Prior to his appointment at Bellarmine, Kremer was in the golf and country club industry. Most recently, he served as assistant general manager at Oxmoor Country Club, where he was charged with all event planning, marketing and communications responsibilities for the club. Previously, Kremer served The Polo Fields for six years in a variety of positions including assistant golf professional and marketing and membership director.

Kremer is a Louisville native and a graduate of Trinity High School.
