Bellarmine University offers financial aid workshops

This fall and winter, Bellarmine University’s Office of Financial Aid is offering a workshop to help parents and students plan for the cost of a college education. Financial aid experts will discuss how to apply for grants, scholarships, loans and work-study programs. They will also preview the 2008-2009 FAFSA, which must be filed to receive financial aid. All workshops begin at 7 p.m.

Bellarmine University’s Office of Financial Aid staff will also be among the financial aid experts on hand at College Goal Sunday. The event will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Louisville Male High School, Jefferson Community and Technical College, and South Oldham High School to help students and their parents complete the FAFSA. The workshops are provided by Bellarmine along with Jefferson County Public Schools, the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), The Student Loan People, PNC Bank, Jefferson Community and Technical College, Spalding University, Sullivan University and the University of Louisville.

Nov. 15 - Butler High School cafeteria; Ballard High School Room E-251; Western High School Library; Jeffersontown High School seminar room
Nov. 26 - Manual High School auditorium
Nov. 27 - Central High School Room 104; Seneca High School large cafeteria
Dec. 3 - Atherton High School library
Dec. 6 - Male High School cafeteria; North Bullitt High School library
