Cornell Craig to be inducted in SIU’s Hall of Fame

Bellarmine University Director of Minority Programs Cornell Craig will be inducted in Southern Illinois University’s Hall of Fame in a ceremony on Friday, Feb. 29. Craig, who played wide receiver on the Salukis football team, also recently earned his master of business administration degree from Bellarmine.

Craig played at SIU from 1996-99 and holds numerous career receiving records at Southern Illinois, including most receptions (207), most receiving yards (3,508) and most touchdown catches (37). He had a phenomenal senior season, in which he caught 77 passes for 1,419 yards and 15 touchdowns, earning him national recognition as the Division I-AA Player of the Year. Craig also holds the school record for catches in a game (13) and receiving yards in a game (219). He was an All-American in 1999 and a three-time all-conference honoree (1997-99).
