LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb.29, 2008)— Bellarmine University’s physical therapy students will sponsor their 2nd Annual "Fun Run” at the Louisville Zoo on April 19 at 8:30 a.m. Participants can take part in either a 3-mile run or a 1-mile walk.
The race course is entirely in the zoo and will take participants past many animal exhibits. Each runner/walker will receive a t-shirt, snacks following the race and full day admittance to the zoo beginning at 10 a.m.
Race day registration will be held from 7:15 to 7:45 a.m. and the cost is $25 for adults (12 and over), $20 for children aged 3-12, or $50 for a family (two adults and two children). Children under 3 are free. To pre-register, download a brochure or contact Kelly McKenna at kmckenna01@hotmail.com or call 502-452-8356.
Proceeds will benefit the Jefferson County Public Schools’ physical therapy fund, which provides needed equipment and services to children with physical challenges.
The Bellarmine physical therapy program mentors and teaches diverse learners to lead and serve with integrity and sensitivity. This is accomplished by integrating Catholic liberal arts tradition with scientific inquiry, clinical expertise and emphasis on life long learning.
