LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2008)—Bellarmine University is once again ranked as the top Kentucky “master’s university” according to the U.S. News and World Report. Slated to hit the newsstands on Monday, Aug. 25, the U.S.News and World Report’s 2009 college rankings place Bellarmine 16th in the South region of the “Best Universities-Master’s” category. Bellarmine also appears in the publication's listing titled "Great Schools, Great Prices."
Each year U.S. News ranks 1,400 colleges and universities based on a variety of criteria ranging from academic reputation to alumni giving. These rankings appear in four categories: Best National Universities-Doctoral, Best Liberal Arts Colleges-Bachelor's (National), Best Universities-Master's (Regional), and Best Comprehensive Colleges-Bachelor's (Regional).
This marks the 15th year in a row Bellarmine has been ranked in this “top tier” by the publication.
The U.S.News recognition comes on the heels of two other national recognitions for Bellarmine: inclusion in The Princeton Review’s “Best 368 Colleges” (news release) and a top 100 ranking in the Forbes.com list of the best colleges and universities in the nation (news release).
