Bellarmine Designers' Show House Moves Downtown

 LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University Women's Council is taking its 36th annual show house event downtown Sept. 12-27. Fleur de Lis on Main is this year's featured property, located at 324 East Main Street, one block west of Slugger Field.

Fleur de Lis on Main is an elegant example of mixed-use condominium development, incorporating sophisticated living areas, gardens and retail space. Each unit includes a balcony offering either courtyard or street views. A generous rooftop garden offers downtown views. The 2009 Designers' Show House will include four condominiums and feature interiors designed by 19 Louisville-area designers.

The building will include a café and boutique on the street level. Underground valet parking will be available. Advance tickets are available for $10 two weeks prior and during the show house at: Colonial Designs, St. Matthews; Domain Fabric and Interiors, St. Matthews, Hubbuch & Co., Wesport Rd. and West Main St. locations; and Tassels, Middletown. Tickets will be available at the door for $12. All proceeds benefit the Bellarmine Student Financial Aid Fund.

Show house hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Designers will be at the show house on Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. No admittance 30 minutes prior to published closing time.

Café with catering provided by Café Fraîche: Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Boutique hours: same as show house hours.

The Bellarmine University Women's Council began in 1963 and currently has approximately 350 members from the Louisville area. The council introduced the Designers' Show House in 1974 and has contributed more than $1.6 million of proceeds from this annual event to the Bellarmine Student Financial Aid Fund. The council also supports and assists Bellarmine in its international, academic, student service, campus beautification, athletic and library programs.
