Bellarmine’s Rubel School of Business Named to Nation’s Top 300 Business Schools

October 18, 2010

Bellarmine University’s graduate business program is one of the nation’s Best 300 Business Schools, according to The Princeton Review.

For the third consecutive year, the W. Fielding Rubel School of Business was included in The Princeton Review’s rankings of schools offering master’s degrees in business administration.

“I am very pleased with the Rubel School being recognized as a Best 300 Business School by The Princeton Review,” said Dr. Dan Bauer, dean of the Rubel School of Business. “This recognition validates the high quality of the Bellarmine University MBA experience, our students and faculty.”

In the 2011 edition of the Best 300 Business Schools, editors of The Princeton Review said, “As the only AACSB-accredited private school in Kentucky, Bellarmine students have a leg up in the local job market.” AACSB is the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the premier accrediting agency of collegiate business schools and accounting programs worldwide.

Comments by students surveyed for The Princeton Review’s report include:
  • “I am easily able to complete tasks that I was incapable of before starting the MBA program. The program has improved my skills at work. I am now a candidate for one of the top positions within my company.”
  • “We are organized into groups at the beginning of the program and work together on each project throughout the entire program. We learn to work together as a team and work through our problems. It’s an incredible experience.”
  • “The layout of the program and the balance of classes is exactly what I needed to keep the stress level down and balance my work load. I wouldn’t change anything about the experience; the faculty and staff have been amazing.”

The W. Fielding Rubel School of Business offers undergraduate and graduate students a unique educational experience: a broad-based liberal arts education supplemented by top-notch business preparation. This difference is viewed quite favorably by employers, who praise Bellarmine graduates for their writing and critical thinking skills. The master’s program includes MBA tracks for executive, weeknight and weekend students, as well as a program that combines an MBA with a master’s in nursing.

Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s senior vice president for publishing, said: "We are pleased to recommend Bellarmine’s Rubel School of Business to readers of our book and users of our site, www.PrincetonReview.com, as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA. We chose the 300 business schools in this book based on our high opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the schools. We also strongly consider the candid opinions of students attending the schools who rate and report on their campus experiences at their schools on our survey for the book."
