Sparks at Knight, a firework show to welcome new and returning Bellarmine University students, takes place Saturday, August 23, 2014, outside Nolen C. Allen Hall at 2120 Newburg Road. [

The firework show is part of a student carnival organized by the Bellarmine Activities Council, featuring games, treats and a live performance by
Audiostrobelight. The student carnival begins at 6 p.m.; the firework show and music will conclude by 10:30 p.m.
Allen Hall's parking lot will be closed during Saturday's event. A free event shuttle will pick up and drop off guests at Horrigan Hall and the George G. Brown Center's Frazier Hall throughout the evening.
The university's neighbors are invited to view the firework show from Allen Hall's parking lot.
Fall classes began at Bellarmine on Thursday, August 21.
