November 13, 2014

The Bellarmine Activities Council, a student-run organization that produces events at Bellarmine University, is hosting a concert to raise funds and awareness for Wounded Warrior Project on Friday, November 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

A Knight for Warriors“A Knight for Warriors” features the jazz/pop band Small Time Napoleon. Wounded Warrior Project honors, empowers and assists injured service members.

“A Knight for Warriors started as an initiative to give back to service members for their sacrifice and dedication,” said Gabrielle Ayers, a Bellarmine junior who is one of the event’s organizers. “I think that music is such a strong force that can be used for good and we wanted to utilize this in a way that encourages people to get involved beyond just listening.”

The concert takes place in the George G. Brown Center’s Frazier Hall. [campus map]

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a silent auction, followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free for Bellarmine students, faculty, staff and the general public, but donations are encouraged.
