Bellarmine University’s
W. Fielding Rubel School of Business has reimagined its respected MBA program.
The Rubel School -- one of only 5 percent of business schools worldwide to hold elite
AACSB accreditation -- has reduced the number of credits required to earn an MBA from 48 to 39, allowing students to complete an executive MBA in 12-16 months, a weekend MBA in 16-22 months, or a weeknight MBA in 24 months.
The Rubel School of Business is offering new partial scholarships for its MBA program.
Responding to new AACSB standards, the Rubel School’s MBA focuses on innovation in business, grounded in business philosophy and history, social responsibility and ethics, and strategy. Additionally, instruction in business analytics is now threaded through courses in economics, accounting, finance and marketing.
The redesign was led by
Dr. Sharon Kerrick, Dean of the Rubel School of Business, in consultation with the business faculty, alumni and the Rubel School of Business Advisory Board.
“We understand our MBA prospects are busy professionals who are juggling multiple commitments,” said Kerrick. “The Rubel School of Business has taken valuable feedback from our alumni, corporations and community leaders to create an efficient, effective and thoughtful program that will help our students become leaders and innovators in their fields.”
Other recent changes in the business school include an MBA mentorship program, courses with online components, community workshops, an enhanced executive speaker series, and an early entry MBA program allowing students with any major to complete an undergraduate degree and an MBA in five years.
The business school recently hired three new professors: Dr. Patrick Lach, Dr. Elizabeth Payne and Christy Burge. Kimberly Cyrus has been hired as a program coordinator.
