Bellarmine University's
respiratory therapy program is the nation's best, according to College Choice, a website that offers college rankings and resources.
College Choice's
respiratory therapy rankings are based on institutional reputation, graduation rates, selectivity and faculty resources.
"Bellarmine’s respiratory therapy program has a great reputation because of quality — the quality of our faculty, our students, our facilities and our community partnerships that prepare our students for success," said Dr. Christy Kane, the program's chair. "Our graduates continue to excel on their national credentialing examinations and move immediately into successful careers."
For the past five years, Bellarmine's respiratory therapy program has received the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care's "distinguished RRT credentialing success award.” This award demonstrates that graduates of the program earn their registered respiratory therapist credentials at a high rate.
Respiratory therapists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat persons of all ages with heart and lung disorders. Bellarmine's program prepares respiratory care professionals for leadership roles in management, education and research. Bellarmine offers bachelor's and master's degrees in health science for respiratory therapy.
For their rankings, College Choice uses data from their ranking comes from the National Center for Education Statistics’ IPEDS database, U.S. News & World Report, PayScale.com and individual college websites.
