"I knew I wanted to be able to choose a program that would have small classes in order to make it more personable and provide value to my career."

Why the Bellarmine MBA?

I decided to switch careers and pursue an MBA a year after I graduated with my undergraduate degree. I knew getting an MBA was going to open several doors in the business world. Coming from a healthcare background, I knew I wanted to be able to choose a program that would have small classes in order to make it more personable and provide value to my career. Having little business experience I decided to apply to the weekend MBA program at Bellarmine since it was the best fit for my busy week. I really liked the fact that we were evaluated on projects instead of tests, professors made sure we learned from real case studies and made us work on projects where we could apply what we had learned in class. On top of that, Bellarmine held accreditation by the AACSB and was recently named as one of the top business schools in the south.

Favorite experience?

I really enjoyed the International experience in Rome with my classmates. We stayed there for 10 days, we would have different touring activities in the morning and then we go to class in the evening and learn about Italy’s economic history and development. It was very organized and we had the opportunity to tour two great companies: UPS and Ernst and Young.

Also, my class was very diverse and I was able to learn a lot from my own classmates' work experiences and opinions in diverse matters. Several of my classmates have become lifelong lasting friends and are great references to always count on.

Advice to students in the program?

Get to know your classmates and learn from them, they will provide you with feedback that will add to your growth as a professional. Talk to the professors and get the most out of your time with them, put effort on your projects and you will see how you will be faced with similar scenarios in real life.
