Kim was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Master of Public Administration from the University of Louisville. She began her career in higher education while in her graduate program and has held positions in several different areas including admissions, transfer services, academic advising and learning communities.
Kim is passionate about higher education and the opportunities it brings. She is especially interested in education policy, innovations in student learning and student leadership development. She believes co-curricular learning is an impactful experience and encourages students to take advantage of those opportunities so they may deepen their understanding of their curriculum, themselves and the people around them.
In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves animals, especially her dog, Riley. She is also an avid sports fan, enjoys watching TV/movies and is always up for playing board games or trivia games.
