Maureen R. Norris Ph.D. is Professor Emerita of the Annsley Frazier Brown School of Education at Bellarmine. She served as faculty in special education and retired as Dean of the School of Education. She has been working with the Student Success Center since 2012.
Dr. Norris is a native of the Bronx, New York and has lived in Kentucky longer than she lived in New York. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology and Elementary Education from Hunter College of the City University of New York. She has a Master of Education degree in Teaching the Mentally Disabled from the University of Louisville and her doctorate is in Language Disorders and Learning Disabilities from the University of Colorado. Dr. Norris enjoys traveling, spending time with family, reading and painting.
