When does the program start?

The program starts each year in the fall semester. Students wishing to join the program in a different semester should consult with the chair for program of study options.

When do classes meet?

Classes are delivered in a fully online, asynchronous format.

How much time would I need to spend outside of class to be prepared for class?

On average, we recommend three hours outside of class to prepare for each hour of instruction. However, this will vary with the content of the courses(s) you are taking each semester.

Would I be eligible for any financial assistance?

Yes. You will want to file the FAFSA and apply for federal loans at fafsa.ed.gov. Graduate students are eligible for loans in the amount of $20,500 per academic year (fall, spring and summer) while enrolled.

Does the certificate program accept transfer credit?

The certificate program does not accept transfer credit.

Who teaches the certificate program courses?

The certificate program courses are taught by faculty who are experts in the field, as well as recognized professionals in online teaching.

Will I be assigned a program advisor who will mentor me and guide me through my course work?

Yes. The program chair serves as the advisor and mentor for certificate students.
