Public Safety and the Office of Technology are pleased to announce the implementation of a severe weather warning alert program for the Bellarmine community. In the event of a severe weather warning for Jefferson County, if you are logged into your computer
you will receive the warning on your desktop similar to the sample one here:
The warning will automatically populate on your screen to alert you of the severe weather warning. Simply hit the acknowledgement button and the alert will be removed, it doesn’t affect anything on your computer. Please be aware that if you
are off campus with a Bellarmine issued laptop, you may still receive weather alerts for campus.
Remember, a warning requires immediate action and should be taken seriously. For example, a severe thunderstorm warning indicates that severe weather is imminent in your area or is already occurring (based on either human observation or Doppler radar).
