Authors of No Single Sparrow Makes a Summer, a project of the Louisville Story Program, will be the featured artists at the opening of the 8th Annual Dialogue on Diversity Conference. From the LSP website: “In narratives rooted in six countries, nine young women document cultural and geographic communities of South Louisville from the inside, exploring topics such as the refugee experience, juvenile detention, motherhood, misperceptions of their neighborhoods, and more. The Louisville Story Program strengthens the bonds of community by amplifying unheard voices and untold stories.” A few of the young women will share brief selections of their narratives.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the conference.
