By participating in this conference, participants will:
  1. Be more informed about concepts, research, and/or practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.  
  2. Have at least one new resource or strategy for actionable work related to DEI in my workspace.  
  3. Prevent burnout by creating community and fostering a sense of hope and perseverance through an evolving landscape. 
Proposal content areas include: 
  1. Increased Awareness: Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across various sectors like business, education, healthcare, media, politics, and activism. 
  2. Practical Implementation Strategies: Attendees will gain actionable strategies for integrating DEI principles into their organizations, classrooms, and community work. 
  3. Enhanced Collaboration: Networking opportunities will foster cross-sector partnerships between for-profit and non-profit organizations, educators, healthcare professionals, activists, and community leaders. 
  4. Research and Best Practices Dissemination: Participants will access the latest research and best practices in DEI, empowering them to apply these insights to create more equitable environments. 
  5. Commitment to Social Justice: Attendees will leave with a renewed commitment to advancing social justice initiatives in their respective fields and communities. 
  6. Policy and Organizational Change: Participants will be equipped with knowledge to influence policy decisions or organizational practices that promote greater inclusion and equity.
