    Bellarmine University Student Interns Honor the Best Student Employers

(April 26, 2010) -- The 2010 "Best Student Employer" award from the Bellarmine University Career Development office goes to a project management team in information systems at Kindred Healthcare. The award, presented during a luncheon on Friday, April 23, honors the recipients for providing excellent support and learning opportunities to a student intern. Bellarmine junior, Aaron Yocum, a business major, nominated Rob Wileman, Ted Veterano and Bruce Lukat for the award.

    Bellarmine Names Visionaries in Business and Education as Honorary Degree Recipients

    Bellarmine University Faculty Member to Lecture in Hungary as Fulbright Scholar

    Bellarmine Community Celebrates Successful Relay for Life

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 15, 2010) -- Bellarmine University students, alumni, faculty and staff raised just over $19,500 to help find a cure for cancer as part of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Approximately 280 people participated in the relay event, which ran from 6 p.m. on April 9 through 6 a.m. on April 10. Twenty-four cancer survivors took the ceremonial first lap.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2010) -- Feisal Amin Rasoul Istrabadi enjoyed a successful career as an attorney in the United States before turning his focus to the reconstruction of Iraq. Ambassador Istrabadi, currently a visiting law professor at Indiana University, Bloomington, was the principal legal drafter of Iraq's interim constitution and principal author of its Bill of Fundamental Rights. He will visit Bellarmine University Thursday, March 11, to discuss his research on government transitions from dictatorship to democracy. The lecture begins at 11 a.m. in Frazier Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

    Gift Creates New Norton Healthcare Chair of Graduate Studies in Nursing at Bellarmine

(Feb. 16, 2010) – As part of its continuing effort to increase the quality and availability of health care professionals in the region, Norton Healthcare has awarded a $600,000 grant to the Donna and Allan Lansing School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Bellarmine University. Norton and Bellarmine announced the gift, which is payable in $200,000 annual increments over three years, pending eligibility for renewal, on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
