    Bellarmine to Grant Honorary Degrees to New York City Ballet Dancer and Owensboro Bishop

    During spring commencement services, Bellarmine University will grant honorary degrees to Bishop John J. McRaith, who led the Diocese of Owensboro for more than 25 years, and New York City Ballet principal dancer Wendy Whelan. The ceremony will be held in Knights Hall on May 9 at Noon EDT.

    Bellarmine University Physical Therapy Dept. Explores Benefits of Aquatic-Based Physical Therapy for Children with Autism

    Research from the Bellarmine University Physical Therapy Department finds that autistic children may benefit from aquatic-based physical therapy. In a brief trial, therapists found that the sessions resulted in qualitative changes in behavior, language and function, including improved eye contact and increased vocalizations.

    UMSL ends Bellarmine win streak at 14

    The Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis ended the Bellarmine University men's basketball team's perfect season and 14-game winning streak by pulling a 70-69 upset over the No. 2-ranked Knights this evening in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup at Mark Twain Center on the UMSL campus.

    The Bellarmine University women's basketball team defeated the Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis 75-64 to open their two game road trip. Coach David Smith's squad was once again led by the senior members of his team as the Knights evened up their conference record at 3-3 while improving to 11-4 overall.

    Bellarmine Hosts Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Inaugural Events

    The Bellarmine University Office of Multicultural Affairs is taking approximately 40 students and faculty to Washington for the swearing-in of President-elect Barack Obama next week. Students were selected to attend based on an essay in which they described the personal and historic significance surrounding the inauguration, as well as how they support diversity on the Bellarmine campus. For those not attending in person, the office has partnered with campus ministry to host events on campus to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and observe the presidential inauguration.

    The Bellarmine Knights men's basketball team moved up to the No. 2 spot in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll released this afternoon. The No. 2 ranking is the highest in the history of Bellarmine basketball.

    Süd-Chemie Endows Chemistry Research Fund at Bellarmine University

Suárez’s lecture, “Election 2008” will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Brown Activities Center (Frazier Hall) on Bellarmine’s campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.
